It's also suitable for heavy freshwater fishing, including monster bass, steelhead trout and salmon. The 9' 2-piece graphite rod is remarkably light and casts easy for a 9-weight fly rod. The fly rod is matched with a Scientific Anglers Concept 2 LA79 large-arbor reel with full-cage design and compression disc drag for fish-stopping power and faster retrieves.
